A lovely old school space with first rate food. Not a long menu, but what they do, they do well. Excellent cocktails and cheerful service.

Ray’s Corner Café in Montrose was such a fun and unexpected find. While on a ski trip to Telluride, I ended up riding the chairlift with a really nice guy named Ray—who it turns out owns Ray’s Corner Café. So when we were passing through Montrose on our way to the airport and had a little time to spare, we made a point to stop in and check it out. Ray wasn’t there that day, but the staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was very cool and relaxed, and you could tell it’s a place locals love—there were a few regulars hanging out at the bar enjoying cocktails and good conversation. The food was delicious. We grabbed a Fried Green Tomato BLT to take on the plane (they even wrapped it up in foil for us), and it was perfect. We also shared some beer-battered fries, which were excellent. All around, it was a great experience with a welcoming vibe and great food. I’m really glad we ran into Ray on the mountain. If you find yourself in Montrose, Ray’s Corner Café is absolutely worth a stop. Highly recommend.

Good spot to visit for food. Nice vibe and atmosphere in the space. The food was good. Mimosa was okay compared to others I've had. Still giving a 5 stars for food as everything else was excellent and the staff were kind and courteous. Window seats were nice for good view of the street. It ended up raining while we were there and darn, made the experience even better. The pitter patter of the raindrops outside, the ambience inside made it all so friggin romantic. Definitely a spot we'd d like to check out again.

My husband had the chicken sandwich with bacon, eggs, lettuce and tomato piled on! I had the french toast with bacon. Both meals were absolutely delicious! Our server, Alize, was top notch!!! Drinks were on point! outside seating on the shaded side of the street was cool and comfortable. If you are looking for a good meal with a friendly atmosphere, we HIGHLY recommend Ray's Corner Cafe!

I don’t leave a lot of reviews but perfect. $5 Margaritas are fresh, short rib is a “long rib” and perfectly tender. Wait staff perfect. 6 stars if I could. Montrose is lucky!

A great place for breakfast. I travel a lot for work and I’m always looking for good restaurants to dine in. Ray’s was a great choice. The Biscuit and Gravy was over the top. The biscuit are big, handmade, a crispy outside, and slight chewiness inside. Topped with a jalapeño sausage gravy that brings a mild heat. I’ll definitely dine here again on my next road trip.

Went here on a weekday and it was a little quiet. Was seated quickly and ordered batter fried shrimp as an appetizer and a burger and fries as my main course. The shrimp was very very good. Crispy, hot, and tasty. The burger and fries was also very good. I added bacon to my burger which was super thick and crispy. Definitely recommend Ray's.

Ray’s Corner Cafe is the kind of place you stumble into and immediately wish you lived nearby. We visited with a group of six, three adults, and three tween/teens, and it delivered on every front. Start with a cocktail if you can. The Mont + Rose (peach vodka, pineapple, cranberry, and triple sec) was refreshing, well-proportioned, and a great value. The food is where Ray’s really shines. The beer-battered shrimp were enormous and impossibly crispy. The brisket nachos were a showstopper: house-made chips loaded with melt-in-your-mouth brisket, big chunks of fresh avocado, and pickled onions that tied it all together. Sweet potato waffle fries were perfectly crisp, and the fish and chips were equally delightful. Save room for dessert. The flourless chocolate torte was rich, creamy, and exactly what you want it to be. The lemon blueberry mascarpone cake was the real revelation, light, fruity, and subtle in all the right ways. It disappeared quickly! The setting is as charming as the food, a beautifully preserved old downtown building with a gorgeous tin ceiling and a cozy little bar. Owner Ray was right there chatting with regulars and our server Alyssa was stellar from start to finish. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, don’t miss Ray’s Corner Cafe. It’s the real deal.
